Dramatize! 2.0. Training for Trainers. Spicing up Educators' toolkit with Theatre, Music and Dance.
27 July - 5 August 2021, Germany
8 days

Of training and practice
4 trainers

With background in theatre, music and dance to help you grow your competences.
10+ methods

You will learn during the training to use the language of theatre, music and dance in your work.
Dramatize! for me is a space where we create and learn together. We do Dramatize! training on a regular basis, yet It's not about reproducing the same workshops all over again. Instead, it's about growing together as trainers and as participants, one workshop at a time. Both trainers and the participants take lead to contribute to common growth through art.
— Miriam, Dramatize! 2.0 Trainer

Youth Workers, Youth Leaders, and Youth Trainers active in the youth field will come together to build their skills and capacity to develop quality initiatives and educational activities using methods of theatre, music and dance.
Tori
Trainer from Germany
"In 2019 I have participated in Dramatize 1.0 This training course has introduced me to a new world, which is brought to life with rhythm, sound and movement. Slowly I'm learning, that words do not always suffice, nor do they need to. We've been gifted with this incredible body which allow us to tell stories, convey emotions and connect with others in ways, which words cannot."
The Program
During the Training you will master professional trainer competences with a focus on the following methods:

The training is designed as a space to master competencies
and learn from each other. You will develop your own workshops during the training to receive feedback and grow as you learn by doing.
Methodologies You Will Learn in This Training
Theatre of the Oppressed
Theatre of the Oppressed (T.O.) is a form of popular community-based education that uses theater as a tool for social change developed by Agusto Boal and inspired by Paolo Freire.
Playback Theatre
Playback Theatre is an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience or group members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot. Originally developed by Jo Salas and Jonathan Fox.
Biographical Theatre
The Biographical Theater draws on the life and experience of each participant. It is not about realistically representing the experience of an individual, but rather a collective horizon of experience.
Improvisation Theatre
A form of theatre, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted: created spontaneously by the performers. Excellent for boosting creativity and emotional intelligence.
Positive Conspiracy and Music DNA Mapping
Those are unique methods developed by Raquel and Roberto, not available to learn anywhere in the world. You will be taken on the journey to explore how to use music to engage your audience, as well as learn to set up spaces of co-creation.
Dance and Embodied learning
An educational method that does not only offer an intellectual way of teaching, but also involve the whole body. By making it physical, the teaching material will be more effective, is the idea.
