2026 in Review
In 2026 we are taking an active role in updating the vision and mission of CWM while we strengthen our organsiational culture after a decade of work on local and international levels, with youth workshops, as well as trainings, research and methodologies development. We have several ongoing KA2 projects and planning to put all of the methodologies and learning we have been brewing the past years into more local action, advocacy and theatre training towards a CWM 2036 vision.

Laugh Together KA2

Within the framework of Laugh together KA2 we have organised Humor Labs in Amsterdam, brought together youth workers, educators, mental health practitioners for dialogue about laughter as a technique for youth work.
Through our Humour Labs, youth workers and practitioners explored how humour can be used as a participatory method to support young people in telling their stories, building confidence, and engaging with sensitive topics in a safe and creative way.

CEEYOUTH FOR EUROPE

Participated in KA3 project activities at European Parliament and made significant connections with policy makers. CWM community members (staff and youth) have attended workshops and were prompted to rethink how youth are currently engaged in policy making and how they could be involved in the future. many initiatives are currently brewing as a result of this.

Theatre Training in Portugal

In collaboration with Life Essence Association in Porto, we have organised a 3 days training for youth workers in centers for youth with disabilities and special schools and education centres(in Porto area), using methods of theatre and storyteling. Workshops organised in collaboration with local educators, aiming at sharing CWM methodologies and experience working with youth with disabilities and human rights topics.

Youth Exchnage in Italy

Our team of 8 youth with one youth leader has travelled to Italy to participate in an international youth exchange in Naples. In partnership with NGOs from Romania, Italy and Netherlands.

Making new connections with CWM in a local community while our educators learn how our new partners approach working with methods of arts and disability. Meetings and art workshops at venues of those organisations.

In 2024 we are closing our research projects and crystalising what we have been working on into manuals, books and materials for open access and sharing. We are also exploring Youth Participation activities and making new partnerships for future collaborations.

After running three years of research on blended theatre methodology, we have crystalised it into shareable videos, books, educational materials which cold be used by the youth workers.
2023: Blended Theatre Masterclass is a Success
In 2023 we have implemented one training for youth workers in Rotterdam, as well as hosted five editions of our new Blended theatre masterclass workshops involving throusands of youth workers all over Europe.

Focusing on the tpic "how do we develop culture of solidarity" through theatre and human rights education, led by the polish organsiation Stowarzyshenie from Bialystok, The YW training event hosted by CWM in the Hague for partcipants from the NL, PL, PT, IT aimed at educating them in theatre and storytelling methodologos which CWM has been working with in the NL and Internationally.

Blended Theatre Workshops Online Masterclass

Massive action with CWM online training in theatre methods. Using methods we have developed throughout our work with theatre, human rights, online youth exchanges during Covid-19 times, we have shaped it into a training which helps educators to design their own interactive online learning programs with use of methods of arts and storytelling.

Serenity YE in the Netherlands

YE about mental health designed by our community of youth in Amsterdam. The YE took place in Annen, a local community in Friesland boosting impact beyond the international group of paticipants. One of the results is a follow up youth exchange they have developed (to be implemented in 2027).

While organising an international YE on Domestic Violence and being active on local level with AZC centres (for the first time), we actively conduct CWM methodologies trainings and start Strategic partnerships to advance youth work in Europe with theatre education.

In collaboration with Smacherati theatre organisation in Peruggia we have shared and exchnaged methodologies and developed new ways of working with youth and adults through methods of theatre to foster the culture of respect of human rights and celebration of diversity.

United Against Domestic Violece YE in the Netherlands

international Youth Exchange organised by CWM youth community to raise awareness about domestic violence and related to it human rights. Youth shared and excanged their ideas working with methods of storytelling and theatre. In this youth led event youth took action to implement local activity in Eindhoven raising awareness about domestic violence through a photo exhibition and interviews with locals.

Working with the Second Chance School in Matosinhos, we have conducted a training and exchange of best practices between Stichting CWM Education and hosting organisation, aiming at developing and strengthening our skills of working with youth with different cultural backgrounds and shool dropouts.

This Learning teaching and Trainign Activity organsied by Stichting CWM Education with participation of youth workers from Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece resulted in 24 youth workers ready to transfer the methods of theatre to work with young people with different cultural backroudns in their communities.

Our first ever online youth exchange. All we do live has been adapted into modules to work with our signature theatre methodologies online. With a focus on storytelling and video making as tools for making change in our communities, not only the participants shared the stories of discrimination and social exclusion, but also learned to speak up for their rights and be more civically active.
